Works well

I was a bit skeptical at first, it was pulling out a couple of gallons of water a day, but couldn’t bring the humidity in my basement to less than 45%. But I think it was extraordinary humidity. When outside humidity returned to reasonable levels it brought it to 40% and has maintained since.

Quiet and effective

I'm using the dehumidifier on a boat that has had a perpetual dampness and mildew problem inside. The humidity in the air at the dock would condense out when the temperature dropped, and 'rain' inside the boat. It took a few weeks to draw the damp out of the sails, cushions, off surfaces, etc., but now the unit runs only occasionally to keep the air dry. Minimal impact on the electric bill too! The pump cycles when necessary and drains into the galley sink, which drains overboard.

Great dehumidifier

I recently purchased the Argendon Shield 35P 70-Pint Crawl Space Dehumidifier. I haven’t set it up in my crawl space yet, but I have been testing it in my garage. It took the humidity down nearly 20% in about 12 hours. The pump and gravity drain both worked well. We’ll see how it holds up once it’s in my crawl space, but so far I am very happy with my purchase. Also want to mention how well the dehumidifier was packaged when it arrived. I purchased a normal dehumidifier from another company last fall and it arrived broken because of the poor packaging, so I was a little concerned about this one as it also arrived by FedEx. No problems with this one thanks to Argendons outstanding packaging.
